New Yorker Chris Lospalluto has quickly become one of the most sought after hair stylists in Manhattan. Aside from having a warm and generous personality, Chris is renowned for his special ability to capture the very best of a woman’s innate sense of style and enhance it.
Hudson Valley born, Chris moved to New York City at the age of 20 to study menswear design at Fashion Institute of Technology. Shortly after his first year at F.I.T he took a position as a visual merchandiser for COACH Leatherwear, creating the look for many of the retail store vignettes. After several successful years, he began to seek a more personal creative work experience. A friend suggested he try his hand at hairstyling, and the rest is history.
Beginning his career with editorial stylist Kevin Mancuso and later moving to John Frieda Salon, he honed his craft under the guidance of Serge Normant and others. Influenced by the glamour of the 1960s and 70s, Chris began to develop his own style direction, transferring these looks into a fresh, modern aesthetic.
Since 2009, working at Sally Hershberger salon, Chris has continued to earn the devotion of fashion editors, young designers, fresh-faced celebrities and high-profile clients. Men also find his cool down to earth sensibility appealing.
No stranger to publicity, Chris has been featured several times in Allure magazine's Beauty Directory and it’s exclusive “The BEST of the BEST" issue. His work has also been recognized in the New York Times, GQ, Elle, Glamour, W Magazine, Cosmopolitan, WWD, In Style, Lucky, Teen Vogue, Gotham, and Martha Stewart Weddings.
He has contributed to video advertising campaigns and promotional events for Dove Skin Care, Sharpie, Ford, Christian Louboutin, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Bloomingdales. He’s a frequent contributor to many beauty industry blogs and social media outlets including Refinery 29, Yahoo Beauty, fashionista.com, and Style.com. He has been the national rebranding ambassador and spokesman for Alberto VO5, making several television appearances including Good Morning America.
Chris spends his time between New York and LA. When not shooting editorials, he can be booked at any of the Sally Hershberger Salons.
